Chyrus 2014 Reflection

This is about My years being at point england school.What I enjoyed is the Fia Fia and Manaiakalani. They helped me to be myself and to work with me. I am Proud of fiafia because i have been in the hoip hop group for 5 years and because that is my culture.But next year i am going to be in the cook island group.Fiafia really helped me with my culture and doing the dance that i did not know about.I Really want to level up on my Reading because I’m gonna be a year 6 next year and I want to be better than I was. I really need to do my maths I’m getting there I just need to move up a level than i’ll probably do better because I want to learn and pass my maths test. Reading is the thing I need to learn I want to level up to 11 so I can do better and learn heaps. Next year I want to get better at getting all my work done in like 35 minutes or less before Morning tea time or Lunch time. I want to work on is about school and how i behave at school.One more thing I want to get better at doing movie.Thank you to all the teaches for a few years i have been here.Thank you so much to Miss garden,Mr Goodwin,Miss Jacobson and Mr Somerville

Did know we went to the art gallery last friday.The first thing we did was going in the lego area.It was fun but people were scared beacuse they might break the lego.The seconded thing we did was going to the technology room in the technology room we made shapes and here lot's of weird sounds.

Then it was morning tea time we sat on the stairs.Well we were eating we started to play aroung and play games.It was time to go back inside the art gallery.We went in a area full of cool paintings.

A transition area is set up where the athletes change gear for different segments of the race. This is where the switches from swimming to cycling and cycling to running occur. These areas are used to store bicycles, performance apparel, and any other `accessories needed for the next stage of the race. The transition from swim and bike is referred to as T1 and that between the bike and run is referred to as T2.

Jet boats

A jet boat moves by sucking in the water and spitting it out the back.  The water that comes out the back makes the jet boat go forward. The more water that comes out the faster it will go.

Eating Pikopiko

We have been reading about eating pikopiko. Pikopiko is a native fern that can be eaten.

Why do we use a fork and knife to eat?

Have you ever eaten with  your hands before?  If you have then you must eat with a knife and fork because you might get sick, share germs and make other things sticky.

Cleanliness  

We use a knife and fork to keep our hands clean because if you eat with your hands oil might be on them and and you might put it on the table. Also we have germs on our hands.  If you get germs in your mouth you might get an infection, spew or herl.

Edible Pieces

We use a knife to cut the meat and other staff to eat and the fork to pick pieces up. We cut our food into small pieces so it can fit in our mouth and we don’t choke.

Manners

We use a knife and fork so we don’t embaress our mums and dads. It is also good for other people to see how to eat properly.

You should use a knife and fork so you don’t get germs in your mouth or dirty hands.

The life cycle of a Monarch butterfly

This is about the life cycle of a Monarch butterfly.  The life cycle starts as a tiny egg changes through different stages, turns inside out and becomes a butterfly.

The Eggs

The life cycle begins with the female butterfly

attaching the egg near to the milk weed plant. The mum makes shore the egg doesn't fall off and die. She lays it so when it so when it turns into a caterpillar it has it has something to eat.

The caterpillar

When the caterpillar hatches from the egg the caterpillar eats the leaves and get nice and fat. Then it starts pealing its skin off and keeps on growing.  The caterpillar looks like a worm but it has stripes.

 

The chrysalis

The caterpillar sticks itself onto the stem hang like an anchor.  then it takes it last skin off and turns inside out and it is green so it can blend in.
